Thank you for visiting our page, Asylum II 2017 was another great success, we had large numbers of people visiting and many claimed it was the best experience yet.  Unfortunately our donations were down this year.  We thank everyone who attended, contributed and participated.   Thank you so much for your help.  We are well underway with 2018’s NEW experience, details coming soon, we promise you a new and truly frightening haunt experience!

New city regulations have resulted in additional challenges such as fire code requirements and additional traffic also created the need for more volunteers.

We need YOUR HELP!

In 2016, we decided to use one theme throughout the whole haunt which was both challenging and rewarding.  At the same time, we decided that we would use the theme for 2 years before creating something new.  This allows us to maximize the use of our materials and also allows us to make changes as needed to make the experience better. That carried us into 2017 with Asylum II Re-Admitted which was a new experience based on the same theme.  2018 promises a new experience AND a new theme, so beware!

My name is Chrissy Oliver and I am owner and operator of the Haunted Wastelands, we create the largest Haunted House in Lake Chaparral and the surrounding area. We spend months building and preparing to get the annual event ready for the 4500 – 6000 people that have come through the Haunted House every year for the last seven years!

Food Drive

We run a food drive for the Veterans food bank (Poppy Fund). We ask that families bring a nonperishable food item or toiletries, but it’s not needed to enjoy the Haunt. Come and see for yourself!
We have built a following on social media and have the support of the community. As our event grows every year, we are looking for support from local business to help with building supplies, treats for the kids, prizes for the draws, and snacks for the wonderful volunteers who help put this event together.
In return, we can provide acknowledgement of your sponsorship on our Facebook page with over 1100 members viewing our page daily, on this page, as well as some yard signage as we continue to build and during the haunt itself this Halloween season.
The Haunted Wastelands has been featured on Global news live (2014) and was covered in a segment report by Gord Gillies . We also have other news crews stop by Halloween evening.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Sincerely,
The Haunted Wastelands

If you cannot make it during a time we are open you can leave the donations in our donation bin located outside the fence.

Contact us or follow us, details on our Connect page

Our address is 117 Chapalina close SE. Please feel free to do a drive or walk by to see what’s happening. Please drive with caution as we do attract a lot of kids.
ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT PLEASE TRY TO AVOID DRIVING ON OUR STREET. Last year it was way too crowded and it got a little crazy with all the people and cars. You can park at the school nearby or on the road beside the school field. Please don’t block anyone’s driveways.
